Another acquisition for Pewag

The UK division of lifting chain manufacturer Pewag, which also owns Modulift and LMS has acquired web sling and lifting gear manufacturer Aberdeen Web.

Established in 1992 Aberdeen Web is located next to Dyce airport in Aberdeen Scotland, in the past 30 years or so it has become a significant supplier of web slings, round slings, and ratchet systems. Especially to the offshore industry.

Pewag says that the move is part of its global expansion strategy, with the aim to provide customers with “a trusted one stop solution below the hook.” No details of the transaction have yet been released.

Aberdeen Web managing director Richard Smart said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for our company. Joining pewag opens the door to a broader product portfolio, enhanced resources, and a solid platform for future growth. We will continue to operate a business as usual approach - our team, values, and commitment to delivering excellent service remain firmly in place. We are excited to expand our global footprint under the trusted pewag umbrella.”

Thomas Dietvorst of Pewag added: “The acquisition of Aberdeen Web represents a significant step forward for pewag, as we continue to grow our global presence in the market.
