All models feature AC direct electric drive with either Discover AGM maintenance free batteries, or Hoppecke low maintenance units, and are equipped with non-marking rough terrain tyres.

The four wheel drive 5389RE has a working height of 18.2 metres, a maximum platform capacity of 680kg/four persons, with both indoor and outdoor ratings, it also features dual platform extensions - the 7.4 metre ‘Super Deck’.

Balloo’s powered access manager Colin Magee said: “Balloo Hire was the first rental company in the UK & Ireland to invest in Sinoboom equipment. From day one we have received great service and support from all the team at Lolex. We like the quality of the equipment, we like the business relationship, and so it’s been an easy decision to buy more Sinobooms for our powered access fleet.”

Lolex manager director Julie Houston Smyth added: “We are delighted to receive this fantastic order from Balloo Hire. We work extremely hard every day to make sure that we provide excellent service and technical support to our customers - and repeat orders such as this prove we’re doing something right.”

When Balloo collected the equipment it organised a cute video which you can be seen below.

If you are not familiar with the music, it is from a 1975 single performed by C. W. McCall that became a number one song on both the country and pop charts in the US and the UK. If you scroll to the bottom you can listen to the entire thing... some of us, well one of us, actually purchased the single!

Balloo Hire, was one of the first companies in the UK to take delivery of news[36388](Sinoboom platforms, in 2020), and has gone on to place a number of further orders. The company was established in 1987 and acquired by Briggs Equipment UK in 2019. It offers a wide range of aerial work platforms along with telehandlers, forklifts, lifting and handling gear, general equipment and tools from locations in Belfast, Bangor, Lisburn, Ballyclare, Glenavy, Omagh, Dungannon and Dublin.
Briggs went on to make further acquisitions in Ireland including: news[33318](Highway Plant), news[37464](Laois Hire Services) and news[39237](Aerial Platform Hire).
